He married her shortly afterwards, and began building a house for the two of them. Nebbercracker then lashed out to them to leave, but his wrath was quickly changed into worries as he realized that kids would be approaching his house. He then starts to walk towards his house which somewhat became gentle to him. By this point, DJ learned that all this time, the house was possessed by Constance's spirit. DJ and Chowder then continue their job at watching the house until when they see Jenny walking, they both develop huge crushes on her, but to their horror they see her going to Nebbercracker's house.
Constance Nebbercracker "The Monster House"
The complex relationship between Nebbercracker and Constance can be described as a mix of love, fear, and tragedy. While they are married and have a history together, their relationship goes through profound challenges. Constance was a tall obese woman with short black hair, pale pink cheeks, and grey eyes. Her legs are short with seemingly fat arms, giving her poor ability to reach, run or climb. In her first appearance, she wore a green dress with white flowers and heels.

For a brief moment, they are distracted by a beautiful girl named Jenny who, much to their horror, approaches the house. Before it was too late, they rushed toward her and convince her to go away. Just then, Constance, who already set her sights on Jenny, possesses the porch causing the concrete slabs below her to rise and led her to the houses mouth, only to be failed by Zee and the boys' interference. DJ and Chowder then return to DJ’s room with Jenny to continue the investigation. They later witness a dog who approaches the lawn, only to be eaten by the house.
Running Time:

Nebbercracker tells them that, against her wishes, Constance used to work in a circus sideshow. One Halloween, while she was working on the house, some children tormented Constance because of her size. She lost her footing and fell to her death in the house's foundations, her body becoming buried beneath layers of cement. Nebbercracker finished the house, believing that it was what Constance would have wanted, before discovering that Constance's angry ghost had made the house come to life. To keep children away from the dangerous house, Nebbercracker pretended to be a child-hating old man. Jumping to the conclusion that the furnace is the heart, they make a cold-medicine-filled dummy to feed to the house, putting it to sleep long enough for them to get in and put out the furnace.
Meeting up with Chowder at a construction site on an empty lake, the two go to investigate Nebbercracker's house. Chowder dismisses DJ's concerns, and goes up to the house, despite DJ's protests, and rings the doorbell. This causes the house to awaken and attack Chowder, who narrowly escapes, and he and DJ flee back to DJ's house. DJ is first seen after observing Horace Nebbercracker take a tricycle from a little girl. He attempts to tell his parents, who are going away for a dentist’s convention and returning on Halloween night, that he has suspicions about Nebbercracker's house, but they don’t take him seriously. DJ's somewhat immature and comical best friend Chowder arrives with a new basketball.

Constance then feasts on the police car; DJ, Chowder, and Jenny are able to escape from the car, but are then trapped inside the house. After DJ, Chowder, and Jenny manage to defeat and destroy the house, Nebbercracker is seen dancing with Constance's ghost before she goes on to the afterlife. Saddened by Constance's departure, Nebbercracker mourns for her and his house while clutching the only remnant of his house, the doorknob. DJ apologizes to Nebbercracker for his losses; Nebbercracker acknowledges that he and Constance have been trapped for 45 years, and thanks DJ, Chowder, and Jenny for freeing them from their misery. At the site of his house, Nebbercracker, with the help of DJ, Jenny, and Chowder, returns all the items he confiscated back to their owners.

They offer the dummy to the house to eat, hoping to put the house to sleep so they can find its "heart" (its furnace). Landers and Lister then inadvertently foil the plan as the former discovers the stolen medicine; as they attempt to arrest the trio, the house soon eats them all. Separated from the officers, the children explore the sleeping house and end up in its basement. They find all the toys Nebbercracker had stolen and a shrine to his wife, Constance the Giantess, whose skeletal remains are encased in cement. The house soon awakens and attacks them, but they trigger its gag reflex by grabbing its uvula equivalent (a chandelier), forcing it to vomit them outside.

Witnessing this, they realise that the house only moved when the unsuspecting victim approached, and Jenny decided to call the police As they were waiting, the trio imagines what would happen if many children came to that house due to tonight being Halloween. Just then, the house moves again and taunts Chowder by playing his basketball that is marked with Jack-O-Lantern's face, which Chowder perceives that the house would start the real killing spree tonight. He stated that like mortal beings, they can only be killed by the destruction of its heart. The trio assumed that the house is inhabited by Mr. Nebbercracker's soul As the trio went home, DJ believes that the possession of the house started when the furnace inside the house was set alight, implying that the furnace was the house’s heart. So, they schemed a plan to make a dummy full of cold medicine, hoping that the drugs were enough to render the house sleeping.
Before she has the chance, Chowder fights her off using the excavator from the adjoining construction site. Unfortunately, one Halloween, Constance was again harassed by children. Nebbercracker assured her that he would protect her to the best of his ability. As the children started throwing eggs at her, Constance went berserk, despite Nebbercracker’s attempts to calm her down, and she fell into the basement, getting covered in cement as well, killing her. However, two people, DJ Walters, his neighbor from across the street, and Zee's boyfriend Bones, are aware of what he is hiding, though DJ knows more, due to spying on Nebbercracker for years. He is a former army member, DJ’s neighbor from across the street, and the husband of Constance, whose vengeful spirit has possessed his house, forcing him to chase people away from his house so they won’t get hurt.
From main characters to cameos and minor roles, these characters are a huge part of what made the movie so great. With the house destroyed, Constance’s spirit is released and able to go on to Heaven. Nebbercracker is heartbroken over the loss of his house and his wife, but is grateful to DJ, Chowder, and Jenny for freeing them from all these years of imprisonment. In the morning, DJ and Chowder spot an alluring red-haired girl, Jenny Bennett going around door to door selling Halloween candy.
Thanks to Jenny's quick actions in pulling the house's lamp, the possessed house ended up vomiting them to the outside, along with the contraptions that they supposedly used to make it sleep. Fortunately, the children interfered, and with this, he left the task of destruction to DJ. After DJ successfully destroyed the house, he spent his final moments with Constance's spirit who was now free from the house, and thanked him saying that "for forty-five years, we have been trapped for 45 years, and now we're free!". That Halloween night, instead of candy, he handed out the toys and other various items he had stolen to their previous owners including Eliza's tricycle as an apology to all the kids he pretended to hate.
